Part-time MBA

Objectives

The primary objective of this program is to prepare participants who have completed their university education in a different field apart from Business Administration to take active part in major leading corporations and companies in business arena by helping to improve the abilities and qualities of participants in contemporary business topics and research, problem-solving, analytical thinking and effective and rational decision making.

Duration and Location

This program is offered to be completed in 3 semesters, consisting of total 36 credits. Sessions are held on four evenings a week from 19:00 to 22:00 at Istanbul.

Admission to the Program

Applicants who graduated from an undergraduate program are accepted into the program according to their ranking of scores in the undergraduate GPA along with proficiency test and the interview within the limits of the yearly quota.

Teaching Methods

In the program, in addition to theoratical and practical applications in order to help participants to improve the abilities and qualities which are necessary prerequisites for success in business environment such as problem-solving, research, systematical and analytical thinking, listening to other people, benefiting from other people’s ideas and opinions, teamwork, effect communication, interpersonal skills, persuasion, a wide variety of active teaching methods and techniques which are mainly based on case studies and discusions and some other tools of learning including simulations, games, group presentations, computer skills and applications, project works, and conferences are utilised.

Diploma

Participants who have successfully completed the courses and term paper in accordance with the criteria stated in the regulations are awarded a “Graduate Diploma” signed by the Rector of Istanbul University and Director of the Graduate School of Business.

Academic Staff

Some other lecturers from other universities are also appointed to benefit from their research and expreiences .
